UK ‘tax sop for rich’ rolled back

On Monday, an embattled Kwarteng announced he would not go ahead with plans to abolish the 45p additional tax for those who earn above £150,000 (Rs 1.3 crore) annually in the UK following a growing backlash from the members of his own Conservative party and the public who had branded the move as a tax cut for the rich.
